Back as predicted :). As a new beginning here is a couple of yet to be adjusted things under a couple of my least known non de plumes. One of these days I shall disgard my poor attempts at digital and return to my true medium of acrylics.

Still a great site :)

Thanks coffeejunkie :) I appreciate your comments. They will push me into completing these caricatures.

If I were to critique these:

Contrast lacking or poor.
Lacking good lighting and with it shade/shadow.
Form suspect.
Little life or vibrancy in pose and/or texture of all.
Hair 3 out of ten.
Exaggeration a little 'soft'.
Likeness still not correct.
Colour weak.

Those are just the obvious things I see, there are more subtle bits and pieces that need improving.

Man you are too hard on yourself ! - think the top one is lady Gaga in 20 years time after a diet of vodka and ciggies lol - the second however has the makings of a fantastic piece - be interesting to see what our more experienced members make of them, but I see big improvements well done !

I've seen the Helena Bonham Carter before on the Drawing Board - it still has that odd white patch on the chest that I mentioned over there. I said then it was a good job, and it still is.

The Lady Gaga is new to me. It's pretty good, but she does look a bit too old and jowly.

Great jumpin' Jehoshaphats !! You KNOW how lousy I am at recognition, but that is the first time I had only scrolled down as far as the eyebrows (small screen on laptop) and I already knew who it was - there is something about this Helena pic that really, really nails her. Good job, Thugsie (Malone)! :-X

Yep hard on myself, as we all are. I have to be to get to what I know I can produce. Thanks for commenting :).

Em: Thanks for the reply. As to the white area... on the monitor that I am using it is barely discernible. Yes Gaga is a little old looking here.

Raven :) Thanks appreciated.

CoffeeJunkie:
Excellent imagination ;D. Thanks.

I will be relooking at these two as soon as I get a chance.

You have a distinct style that's for sure. Welcome back :)

Likeness is good especially on the second one...don't know her name but I recognize her.

Thanks Jodie :) Style...to me I can not see it.

Beginning the search amongst the pixels for Polanski. If I push these pixels around enough i might just find him hidden in there.

So far thirty minutes and I changed the angle of the head slightly from the reference pic I looked at.

A re-look at the source picture. And, away I go again.

As usual far from finished ::)

Just in case there is one thugee out there who might wish to know how I have arrived at his mess to date... here is the digital sequence of misadventures (many pixels were harmed in the painting of this) at pic two from left to right I had a long look at the source pic. From there it was the search for shape and color/texture.......all still unresolved :-[

That's actually really good! I'm struggling with the texture of his face... I may not finish it in time.
